What is a coop riser?
At the various multi-day exhibitions, from county fairs to the ARBA National Convention, rabbits are housed in wire cooping to make public display easy and to provide over-night comfort to the animals. Traditionally the coops are bedded with wood shavings or straw. The coop riser is a purely optional device that allows the rabbit to be on a raised wire platform such that its urine and feces fall to the bedding below thereby keeping the rabbit sanitary and clean. Otherwise, if bedded without a riser, the bedding should be changed daily to prevent coat or feet staining.
Is the riser safe to use?
The riser wire is constructed with a super-smooth grid that is comfortable for the rabbit's feet. All edges are turned down providing a smooth surface. The KW design is such that the feet do not come in contact with any cut edges or ring or clip fasteners.
Are they easy to use?
The exclusive KW design is such that the risers are hinged in the middle to allow folding in order to fit through the coop door. The hinge pin can be easily removed so the riser halves can nest inside of each other for super compact storage. They take little space when travelling by plane or automobile.
Are they returnable?
If you need to exchange for a different size riser (subject to availability) please do so before the close of check in time at the ARBA Convention. Otherwise, due to the nature of the event risers are not returnable or refundable.
